Communication & Management Support Erik Peterson

Question: Discuss about the Communication Management Support by Erik Peterson. Answer: The issue that Eric Peterson faces as of March: Lack of Communication Management Support: Peterson has a poor boss who is shaky about his aptitudes and capacity to lead; relationship was vague and unbalanced at the outset and Hardy fizzled in giving clear course or backing to Peterson. Lack of Experience: Peterson is the general administrator of Green Mountain Cellular and he has no practical business with the cell business. Without the knowledge in the business; you can't appropriately lead your group to achievement. And this was something which was happening all throughout. (Johns, Saks, 2014). Internal Conflicts: Peterson does not have the right group set up; key positions are not prepared to handle all parts of their charge (Curt Andrews, Chief Engineer). Erik Peterson, Trevor Burns Todd Jones had some issues regarding the salary issues. External Conflicts: Erik Peterson, Karen Cantor Scott Green had some conflicts regarding the zoning issues. This could have been handled with proper care. Erik Peterson, Oklahoma Construction Subcontractor Granite State Construction Company had some discussions over the same issue. Hiring Issues were also there: Management challenges among subordinates were there. What is the cause of that issue? There was a lack of clear communication amongst the staff in headquarters Lack of clear authority for Peterson ( as to where the staff hires or in terms of firings and wages) Eriks Boss was very fizzy Poor decision tree making with respect to Hanover schedule/needs (Dual radios, power supplies) Team structure and relationships amongst staff is too bad. Lack of leadership skills in Peterson and Hardy Solution on how to solve those issues: - Peterson should work on the problem with immense amount of effectiveness (Saks Haccoun, 2004). - He should also see how to replace Curt. - Work on his reporting relationships - Find a construction contractor in order to help Curt. - Work on the issues which has come from the external conflict that of the government and zoning problems. - Talk to everybody: Peterson should get all the employees into a room and simply tell the facts and possible hurdles. Take the stance and get in agreement as a big whole team. References Johns, G., Saks, A. M. (2014). Organizational Behaviour: Understanding and Managing Life at Work (9th ed.). Toronto: Pearson.
